At Bowman Steel, safety is not just a checklist—it’s the foundation of our operations. You’ll join a dedicated team that understands the value of your expertise, from field staff to executive leadership. As the Safety Director at Bowman Steel, you’ll take charge of building, executing, and managing a robust safety program across our sites. Responsibilities include:
Developing, implementing, and maintaining the Environmental Health and Safety Plan (EHSP).
Leading training and safety initiatives while providing mentorship to teams.
Regularly updating safety protocols and ensuring compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
Collaborating with HR to integrate safety practices in the onboarding process.
Conducting site risk assessments, recommending improvements, and enforcing compliance.
Preparing comprehensive reports on incidents, violations, and risks with preventive recommendations.
Overseeing repair and maintenance activities related to safety, ensuring prompt corrective action.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a safety-related role, ideally in Steel Erection or Construction.
Certifications: OSHA 500 required.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of OSHA guidelines and safety legislation.
Skills: Proficient in MS Office, report writing, and policy development.
Travel: Willingness to travel within and outside the Southeastern U.S.
Soft Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities.
