Your New Role

As the Safety Director at Bowman Steel, you’ll take charge of building, executing, and managing a robust safety program across our sites. Responsibilities include:

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining the Environmental Health and Safety Plan (EHSP).

• Leading training and safety initiatives while providing mentorship to teams.

• Regularly updating safety protocols and ensuring compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.

• Collaborating with HR to integrate safety practices in the onboarding process.

• Conducting site risk assessments, recommending improvements, and enforcing compliance.

• Preparing comprehensive reports on incidents, violations, and risks with preventive recommendations.

• Overseeing repair and maintenance activities related to safety, ensuring prompt corrective action.

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a safety-related role, ideally in Steel Erection or Construction.

• Certifications: OSHA 500 required.

• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of OSHA guidelines and safety legislation.

• Skills: Proficient in MS Office, report writing, and policy development.

• Travel: Willingness to travel within and outside the Southeastern U.S.

• Soft Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities.
