Your New Role

  • Lead the daily operations of the residential HVAC service department in West Austin, TX

  • Manage and support service technicians, maintenance technicians, and service sales team members

  • Monitor technician performance, productivity, customer satisfaction, and department KPIs

  • Coach team members on HVAC diagnostics, customer communication, service processes, and sales performance

  • Drive residential HVAC service revenue, maintenance agreement growth, indoor air quality opportunities, and replacement leads

  • Review service calls, invoices, estimates, job notes, and photos to ensure quality standards are met

  • Assist with ride-alongs, field training, technical support, and technician development

  • Resolve customer concerns and help maintain a high level of customer satisfaction

  • Collaborate with dispatch, installation, office staff, construction teams, and ownership to improve operational efficiency

  • Track and manage key performance indicators including callback rates, close rates, average ticket value, maintenance conversions, and profitability

  • Participate in recruiting, onboarding, training, and retention efforts

  • Foster a culture built on professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and continuous growth

Job requirements

  • Proven experience in the HVAC industry with a strong residential service background

  • Previous experience in HVAC service management, service leadership, or HVAC operations management

  • Strong knowledge of residential HVAC diagnostics, troubleshooting, airflow, comfort solutions, system performance, and indoor air quality (IAQ)

  • Demonstrated success coaching technicians and improving service and sales performance

  • Experience managing service department KPIs, performance metrics, and profitability goals

  • Strong leadership, team-building, and accountability skills

  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with ServiceTitan or similar HVAC service management software preferred

  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record

  • Ability to support technicians in the field and conduct ride-alongs as needed
