Support and manage commercial construction projects based in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, with projects throughout Eastern and Central Michigan, and occasional travel to other states
Assist with planning, coordination, and oversight of construction projects from pre-construction through the final completion
Manage and track project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders
Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and internal project teams
Maintain project schedules, budgets, and reporting using construction management software
Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications to support project execution
Monitor project progress and help resolve scheduling, field, and cost challenges
Work on multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously, typically 2 to 5 active projects, depending on project size
Support ground-up and renovation projects typically ranging from $500K to $2.5M, with some projects reaching $3M to $4.5M
Travel to job sites approximately 1 to 2 days per week while coordinating the remainder of the project work from the office

1 to 3 years of construction experience, including internships, assistant project management experience, or field experience
Strong preference for candidates with commercial construction experience
Experience on projects such as hospitality, food and beverage, schools, or other commercial construction work preferred
Candidates with a mix of residential and commercial experience may be considered if commercial experience is present
Background working for a general contractor or subcontractor is acceptable
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Experience managing construction documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change orders
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Procore, or Bluebeam is a plus
Valid driver’s license required
Must have a personal vehicle for job site travel
OSHA 30 certification is a plus
CPR or First Aid certification is a plus
