Your New Role

As a Project Manager in our Construction division, you’ll oversee multi-million dollar HVAC mechanical projects in San Antonio, TX, from kick-off through completion. You’ll work directly with Project Engineers, Superintendents, and Construction Managers to ensure delivery on-time, on-budget, and above expectations. You will be the linchpin between our field and office teams, ensuring all work is aligned with design, safety, quality, and profitability goals.

  • Lead formal hand-off meetings on newly awarded contracts

  • Manage and direct Project Engineers and General Superintendents

  • Review blueprints, specifications, and materials to ensure clarity and accuracy

  • Visit job sites regularly to ensure quality, progress, and manpower alignment

  • Track manpower needs and adjust resources based on project demands

  • Oversee procurement of materials and equipment within budget

  • Provide consistent status updates to Construction Manager

  • Conduct internal quality control walk-throughs before final turnover

  • Monitor safety compliance, conduct accountability checks, and uphold job site standards

  • Identify and resolve issues related to budget, personnel, or scheduling delays

Job requirements

  • 5+ years of project management experience in the mechanical or plumbing industry

  • 2+ years in a senior-level project management role preferred

  • HVAC & building construction industry experience is required

  • Federal construction experience highly preferred (FARS, DFARS knowledge a plus)

  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word); experience with Procore or Plangrid a plus

  • Strong communication, leadership, and time management skills

  • Capable of leading teams and managing subcontractors effectively

  • Ability to adapt to evolving project needs and shifting timelines
