Your New Role

  • Work as a Plumbing Apprentice in Tucson, Arizona

  • Attend and actively participate in the full 12-week plumbing apprenticeship training program

  • Learn plumbing fundamentals through classroom instruction and hands-on installation work

  • Apply your training in Al Coronado Plumbing’s on-site training center and during assigned field work

  • Shadow experienced plumbers and plumbing technicians while learning professional residential and commercial plumbing practices

  • Develop practical skills in plumbing installation, troubleshooting, measurement, trade math, tools, materials, and mechanical problem-solving

  • Ask questions whenever instructions, materials, procedures, or job expectations are unclear

  • Follow established plumbing procedures, safety practices, company standards, and workmanship expectations

  • Work on an assigned technician’s schedule when needed, including field days that may extend later into the evening

  • Report on time for varying daily start times, typically 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM

  • Be available to work every other Saturday as assigned

  • Acquire the tools listed on the company’s New Technician Tool List and complete your required tool set by the end of training

  • Maintain a professional appearance and follow company uniform, grooming, hygiene, and customer-property standards

  • Wear shoe covers when entering customer properties or the training center as required

  • Keep work areas clean and organized after completing assignments

  • Stay productive by checking with management for your next responsibility when assigned work is complete

  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, coworkers, technicians, and leadership

  • Be prepared for hands-on plumbing service work in environments that may be dirty, cramped, or physically demanding

Job requirements

  • No previous plumbing experience required

  • Reliable, respectful, and ready to learn the plumbing trade

  • Coachable attitude with a willingness to accept instruction and feedback

  • Strong work ethic with the ability to show up consistently, follow through on responsibilities, and take pride in your work

  • Interest in hands-on work, mechanical problem-solving, plumbing installation, and troubleshooting

  • Commitment to learning plumbing fundamentals and applying them correctly

  • Reliable attendance and consistent punctuality

  • Ability to work varying start times and every other Saturday as assigned

  • Willingness to follow an experienced technician’s schedule when field assignments extend later into the day

  • Willingness to acquire the required tools listed on the New Technician Tool List

  • Ability to follow company procedures, workmanship standards, safety practices, and customer-service expectations

  • Ability to maintain respectful working relationships with customers, coworkers, and leadership

  • Willingness to limit personal phone use during the workday according to company policy

  • Commitment to maintaining clean work areas and professional appearance standards

  • Prepared to demonstrate basic measurement, trade math, problem-solving, and mechanical reasoning during the apprenticeship selection process

  • Commitment to completing plumbing work to company standards rather than taking shortcuts when conditions become difficult or inconvenient
