Your New Role

  • Lead and supervise mobile fleet maintenance operations in Mullan, ID

  • Work a schedule typically consisting of 10 to 12 hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, with a rotating weekend based on business needs

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive maintenance, reactive repairs, and emergency breakdown response

  • Coordinate with maintenance planners and operations to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency

  • Manage and direct maintenance crews, assigning work orders and ensuring performance standards are met

  • Oversee contract maintenance work both on-site and off-site

  • Ensure accurate CMMS documentation, including work orders, timecards, and reporting

  • Monitor spare parts inventory to ensure availability and minimize downtime

  • Enforce high standards of safety, quality, and productivity across all maintenance activities

  • Participate in risk assessments, SOP development, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Inspect ongoing and completed work to ensure reliability and compliance

  • Lead by example in MSHA compliance, environmental responsibility, and company policies

Job requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred

  • 3–5+ years of maintenance experience in mining, heavy equipment, or similar environments

  • Experience working with underground or surface mining equipment

  • Strong knowledge of diesel, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems

  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred

  • Proficiency with CMMS systems and Microsoft Excel

  • Strong understanding of preventive maintenance programs and equipment lifecycle management

  • Ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and handle high-pressure situations

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • MSHA 40-hour certification (or ability to obtain)

  • ATF possessor clearance required

  • Ability to pass a physical exam and drug screening
