Pay: $22 to $27 per hour, based on experience, licensing, and technical ability

Perform scheduled lawn fertilization, weed control, insect control, and soil treatment applications
Operate ride-on spreaders and sprayers, push spreaders, backpack sprayers, aerators, seeders, and other professional lawn care equipment
Assist with aeration, overseeding, lawn renovation, and seasonal turf services
Mix, transport, and apply fertilizers and lawn care products according to product labels, company procedures, and New Jersey regulations
Follow treatment programs, application rates, property instructions, and scheduled service plans
Inspect lawns for weeds, insects, disease symptoms, drought stress, irrigation concerns, and other turf conditions
Report property observations and concerns to the PHC/Lawn Department Manager or senior technicians
Maintain accurate digital service records, including products applied, weather conditions, application rates, and completed work
Protect lawns, landscape beds, buildings, hardscapes, and surrounding property during every application
Maintain clean trucks, equipment, product inventory, and storage areas
Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance
Follow all safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment
Communicate professionally with homeowners and coworkers
Participate in company training, licensing preparation, and continuing education

Previous experience in lawn care, landscaping, grounds maintenance, agriculture, equipment operation, or a related outdoor field preferred
Fertilizer application, pesticide application, aeration, overseeding, or ride-on equipment experience is a plus
Willingness to learn professional turf care, plant health care, and pesticide application practices
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to follow written instructions, product labels, application rates, and treatment programs
Dependable attendance, punctuality, and strong work ethic
Comfortable working independently after completing training
Basic ability to use smartphones or tablets for digital documentation
Professional communication skills with clients, managers, and team members
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to safely perform physical work outdoors in changing weather conditions
Ability to frequently walk, bend, lift, carry, and operate equipment throughout the workday
Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Willingness to work seasonal overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed
New Jersey Commercial Pesticide Operator or Applicator credential preferred but not required
Willingness to obtain New Jersey pesticide licensing with company-supported training
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Turf management, horticulture, landscaping, agriculture, or related education is a plus
