Diagnose HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical system performance through observation, testing, and setup
Perform repairs, maintenance, and installations on commercial and residential equipment and mechanical systems
Disassemble and reassemble equipment to troubleshoot problems and perform preventative maintenance
Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment
Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, meters, measuring instruments, and related equipment
Read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and specifications
Work independently to identify customer needs and determine appropriate service solutions
Explain completed work and applicable service charges to customers
Complete work orders, task lists, and documentation required to verify completed work and support customer invoicing
Coordinate material orders through the appropriate purchasing process
Operate a commercial vehicle and trailer when required by the opportunity
Reconcile work-order documentation, vendor packing slips, and timesheets for supervisor review as required
Follow applicable safety requirements and maintain required licenses, certifications, and continuing education

Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC service experience
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Ability to diagnose, repair, install, and maintain commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and related systems and equipment
Experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC equipment
Ability to competently use gauges, meters, measuring instruments, hand tools, power tools, and related equipment
Ability to read blueprints, schematic drawings, and specifications
Ability to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle and meet applicable driving requirements when driving is an essential function of the opportunity
Ability to maintain required professional licenses, certifications, and continuing education applicable to the position
Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including lifting and carrying materials or equipment weighing up to 80 pounds
Ability to work in conditions associated with mechanical service and construction, including heat, cold, noise, vibration, fumes, dust, poor ventilation, gases, and oils, with appropriate personal protective equipment
Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders and to kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, and pull as required
Ability to work with both hands to grasp, manipulate, and handle equipment and materials
EPA Certification preferred
