$35–$45 per hour, based on experience

Advancement opportunities
Work independently and take ownership of your HVAC service and installation work
Use your technical judgment to determine when equipment should be repaired versus replaced
Work with a broad range of residential heating, cooling, boiler, and water heating systems
Put advanced HVAC skills to use, including brazing, electrical diagnostics, combustion analysis, wiring diagrams, and sheet metal fabrication
Additional trade licenses, including gas fitter and electrician credentials, are valued
Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems
Work on furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, boilers, and water heaters
Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose system issues
Recommend appropriate repairs or replacement options
Read wiring diagrams and use electrical meters
Perform brazing and combustion analysis
Complete basic sheet metal fitting and installation
Work safely in attics, crawl spaces, and residential job sites
Maintain professional communication with customers

Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for company vehicle use
Maryland Journeyman HVAC License required
Type II CFC certification required
Strong residential HVAC troubleshooting and diagnostic experience
Experience with furnaces, AC, heat pumps, mini-splits, boilers, and water heaters
Ability to read wiring diagrams and use electrical meters
Brazing and combustion analysis experience
Basic sheet metal knowledge
Ability to work independently and communicate professionally with customers
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in attics/crawl spaces
Additional trade licenses or certifications are a plus
