Pay: $24–$30 per hour, based on experience and technical ability
Commission: 1% on qualifying new equipment sales you handle from start to finish

Work as an HVAC Service Technician based in Carlton, Minnesota, serving Duluth, Cloquet, and surrounding Northern Minnesota communities
Run HVAC service calls and take responsibility for troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and professional customer communication
Perform primarily residential HVAC service with the possibility of some light commercial HVAC work
Diagnose, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair heating and cooling systems
Service furnaces, central air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-split systems, and related HVAC equipment
Perform preventive HVAC maintenance, seasonal tune-ups, and equipment inspections
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, airflow, and refrigerant-related HVAC problems
Test components and accurately identify system and equipment failures
Repair and replace HVAC components based on accurate diagnostics and customer needs
Identify safety, efficiency, reliability, and performance concerns
Explain HVAC problems and repair options clearly and professionally to customers
Recommend new equipment when replacement is appropriate, without pressuring customers into products or services they do not need
Handle qualifying new equipment sales from start to finish when the opportunity arises
Complete service calls efficiently while maintaining high standards for workmanship and customer service
Document completed work and recommended repairs
Follow manufacturer specifications, company procedures, and applicable safety standards
Maintain an organized and professional service vehicle and work area
Represent the company with integrity, responsibility, professionalism, and pride in your work
Travel throughout Carlton, Duluth, Cloquet, and surrounding Northern Minnesota communities

Approximately 2–3 years of HVAC service, repair, troubleshooting, or closely related field experience
Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing residential heating and cooling equipment
Ability to independently run HVAC service calls
Strong HVAC troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair skills
Experience servicing furnaces and central air conditioning systems
Understanding of electrical and mechanical HVAC systems
Understanding of refrigerant systems and proper HVAC service procedures
Ability to accurately diagnose HVAC problems and determine appropriate repairs
Valid driver’s license
Strong problem-solving and technical skills
Professional verbal communication and customer service skills
Ability to clearly explain HVAC issues and recommended solutions to customers
Commitment to integrity, responsibility, quality workmanship, and taking pride in your work
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned service calls
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, basements, mechanical rooms, and outdoor environments
Ability to perform the physical duties associated with HVAC service work
Experience with heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, light commercial HVAC systems, or boiler service is a plus
EPA Section 608 Certification or EPA Universal Certification
