Your New Role

You’ll own the day-to-day operations of HR while backing up accounting and payroll processes when needed. About 70% of your time will be focused on HR functions, with the rest split across accounting, payroll, and office support.

Location: Salem, OR

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead onboarding/offboarding, administer benefits, and manage 401(k) plans.

  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with employment laws.

  • Run recruitment efforts from job postings to interviews using an ATS.

  • Provide backup for accounts payable, receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll.

  • Cover the front desk when needed—phones, visitors, mail, and basic admin duties.

Job requirements

  • Associate’s degree required (Bachelor’s preferred) in HR, Business, or Accounting

  • 3–5 years of HR experience with exposure to accounting and/or payroll

  • Strong working knowledge of HR laws, practices, and procedures

  • Familiar with accounting software (Oracle NetSuite, QuickBooks) and HRIS platforms

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information

  • Excellent organizational and follow-through skills

  • Must pass background check and drug test

Bonus Points For:

  • Experience in a construction or manufacturing environment

  • Prior benefits administration background

  • SHRM-CP, PHR, CPP, or bookkeeping certification
