Your New Role

• Operate, monitor, and maintain steam and hot water boiler systems within Grade 4 license limits in Millersville, Maryland

• Perform daily inspections of boilers, burners, feedwater systems, valves, and safety controls

• Start up, shut down, and adjust equipment following established procedures

• Ensure compliance with Maryland Boiler Safety regulations and local codes

• Maintain accurate logs, readings, and operational records

• Perform preventive maintenance and assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues

• Respond to alarms, system issues, and service calls as needed

• Support operation of pumps, motors, heat exchangers, and related equipment

• Work across a variety of facilities including commercial, industrial, healthcare, and government environments

• Active Grade 4 Stationary Engineer License in the State of Maryland

• 1 to 3 years of experience operating boilers or similar systems

• Working knowledge of steam systems, hydronic systems, and boiler controls

• Ability to read gauges, logs, and mechanical documentation

• Strong focus on safety, accuracy, and documentation

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in mechanical rooms or high heat environments

• Availability for varied shifts including nights, weekends, and on call rotation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in government, healthcare, industrial, or large commercial facilities

• Familiarity with water treatment systems and basic chemical testing procedures

• Exposure to HVAC systems or broader building maintenance operations

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

• Ability to troubleshoot and support multiple types of mechanical equipment
