Your New Role

  • Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates for commercial fire alarm and low-voltage systems in Richland Hills, Texas

  • Review blueprints, specifications, and bid documents for accuracy and completeness

  • Perform material, labor, and equipment takeoffs using AutoCAD and or Spincad

  • Design fire alarm and low-voltage systems when needed to support estimating efforts

  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations teams to align project strategy

  • Identify risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering solutions

  • Support proposal development and assist with client presentations when needed

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and subcontractors

  • Contribute to successful bidding strategies on large-scale commercial construction projects

Job requirements

  • 5 or more years of estimating experience in fire sprinkler, life safety, or low-voltage systems

  • Design experience in fire sprinkler or low-voltage systems strongly preferred

  • The ability to both design and estimate projects is highly valued

  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction and large-scale project workflows

  • Proven ability to estimate projects valued at $2M or more

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and or Spincad for system layout and takeoffs

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately

  • NICET Level II or higher certification preferred

  • Background as a fire alarm designer or systems engineer is a plus
