Your New Role

  • Location: Salem, Oregon

  • Review RFQs, technical drawings, and project specifications

  • Perform detailed material takeoffs for steel fabrication and utility structures

  • Request and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors

  • Develop complete cost estimates including labor, materials, and overhead

  • Apply pricing strategies that support both competitiveness and company goals

  • Coordinate with project managers and internal teams to meet deadlines

  • Participate in estimate reviews as needed

  • Maintain and update cost databases to improve accuracy and efficiency

Job requirements

  • At least 3 years of estimating experience, preferably in steel fabrication or utility-related industries

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to manage multiple bids and produce accurate, client-ready estimates

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors
