Your New Role

  • Design and program Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems for commercial facilities

  • Review project drawings, specifications, and sequences of operation

  • Select controllers, sensors, actuators, valves, and other control system components

  • Develop wiring diagrams and control drawings using Microsoft Visio

  • Program DDC controllers and build user interfaces

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and optimize HVAC and building automation system performance

  • Configure HVAC controls and BAS integrations

  • Support system startup, commissioning, testing, and optimization

  • Diagnose controls, networking, and communication issues

  • Collaborate with project managers, field technicians, and customers

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and system records

Job requirements

Preferred Experience

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), Building Management Systems (BMS), HVAC controls, or a related technical field

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Hands-on experience programming DDC controllers

  • Experience creating control drawings using Microsoft Visio

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, and mechanical/electrical schematics

  • Understanding of networking and BAS system integrations

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

  • Experience with one or more of the following platforms:

    • Niagara / Tridium

    • Johnson Controls

    • Siemens

    • Honeywell

    • Distech

    • Alerton

  • Valid driver's license

  • Ability to remain tobacco free while on job sites

  • Strong communication skills and a solution-focused mindset

  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated with a commitment to technical excellence
