Your New Role

Located in Portland, Oregon, this in-office role is the financial heartbeat of our operation. You’ll be:

• Owning the full-cycle accounting for our construction projects

• Managing accounts payable, receivable, job costing, WIP, and financial reconciliations

• Generating accurate, well-formatted reports using QuickBooks and other software tools

• Supporting internal audits and monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes

• Handling customer billing, collections, lien waivers, and vendor payments

• Collaborating with project managers to ensure data accuracy and job profitability

• Maintaining fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and cash flow monitoring

• 3 or more years of accounting experience in construction, plumbing, HVAC, or related skilled trades

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent hands-on construction accounting experience

• Strong understanding of job costing, project accounting, percent complete accounting, and WIP reporting

• High proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel

• Experience with document management systems such as DocuWare

• Familiarity with payroll platforms such as ADP and certified payroll reporting

• Experience with progressive billing, retainage, and Schedule of Values

• Experience handling lien waivers, notices, and collections follow-up

• Experience managing weekly AR aging and accounts payable

• Experience with job-based cost tracking and construction payment structures

• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and process discipline

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
