You’re not stepping into a business that needs babysitting. You’re stepping into one with real potential, a developing team, strong products, and the opportunity to build the operation into what it should be.
This is a sales-focused General Manager role responsible for managing and growing the Aon Water Technology water filtration business unit. You’ll lead the team, drive revenue, strengthen sales performance, and build the systems and partnerships needed to expand the business.
Base Salary: $75,000–$90,000 annually
Approximately $20,000 in annual performance opportunity through monthly KPI bonuses
Additional earning upside for exceeding goals and sustaining strong performance over three-month periods
Company-branded take-home vehicle
BCBS health and dental coverage, with Mazama paying 50% of the employee rate
401(k) with 3% employer match
Up to 40 hours of accrued regular PTO plus 20 hours of Holiday PTO
Approved relocation assistance of $2,000–$5,000
Direct reporting relationship with the President of Mazama Services
Opportunity to earn greater operating authority as you demonstrate sound judgment, leadership, and business performance
Lead an established business with premium Kinetico equipment, an excellent CRM platform, an existing customer base, and shared-company resources
You’ll own a stable but underdeveloped water treatment operation with significant opportunities for revenue growth, consultative sales, service, installation quality, and channel development.
You’ll directly coach and develop a young frontline team instead of managing through layers of middle management.
You’ll have the opportunity to shape sales processes, installation QA, technical development, Builder Plan expansion, affiliate marketing, and the future leadership structure of the business.
Mazama believes leadership means protecting customers, developing employees, owning results, communicating directly, and making decisions based on evidence.
You won’t be expected to personally solve every technical, sales, or operational problem. You’ll be expected to build a team and operating system capable of solving them consistently.
You’ll have access to shared support across Dispatch, Customer Service, Marketing, Accounting, Inventory, Human Resources, and other Mazama functions.
The opportunity is substantial, and so is the responsibility. Installation quality needs improvement, technical capabilities need continued development, and new growth channels need to be built. If you thrive on driving sales, developing people, and growing businesses, that’s the opportunity.
The role currently reports to the Albertville office while supporting growth in the Huntsville market, with a longer-term plan to move more Aon operations into the Huntsville area. Your will:
Own the day-to-day performance, sales growth, and continued development of the Aon Water Technology water filtration business unit.
Lead revenue generation and business development efforts, with a focus on growing Aon.
Directly manage frontline employees across water treatment sales, installation, and service while coordinating closely with the Service Coordinator.
Coach and develop inexperienced employees into capable, accountable professionals.
Drive at least 20% first-year revenue growth over the established pre-start trailing-12-month baseline.
Build toward and sustain a 60% Gross Profit margin through disciplined management of revenue, direct payroll, cost of goods sold, vehicle costs, and equipment costs.
Develop an ethical, consultative sales process capable of producing a 60% qualified sales close rate.
Establish consistent sales coaching, pipeline management, customer follow-up, and pricing discipline.
Use CRM, operational data, scorecards, and financial reporting to identify problems, track KPIs, and improve performance.
Strengthen installation professionalism, workmanship, documentation, commissioning, customer education, and quality assurance.
Implement and maintain installation QA processes, including complete closeout documentation and repeat-visit tracking.
Build continuing technical and diagnostic development for the service team, particularly around Kinetico water treatment systems.
Expand Aon’s established Builder Plan channel by completing approved offerings and developing measurable pipeline and performance tracking.
Build a formal affiliate marketing program with clear partner targeting, CRM attribution, follow-up, and performance measurement.
Manage customer escalations and resolutions while protecting customer trust and long-term business health.
Make hiring, coaching, disciplinary, and performance-management decisions within established company procedures and authority.
Work closely with the President and shared-service teams to align staffing, marketing, inventory, financial performance, and operational priorities.
Build systems and develop people so growth doesn’t depend on you personally rescuing every sale, installation, service call, or customer issue.
Hiring Expectations: Apply today, complete a quick phone screening, and get ready for an interview with our team to discuss your goals and experience.
