As a Business Development Professional, in Salem, OR, you'll play a key role in driving sales, expanding market reach, and managing customer relationships. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
Identifying and securing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth
Managing quotes, orders, and projects, ensuring smooth execution and client satisfaction
Acting as the main liaison between customers and internal teams, including Sales, Engineering, and Project Management
Analyzing customer requirements, developing strategies, and optimizing marketing efforts
Collaborating with internal departments to ensure timely project completion
Addressing customer inquiries, providing solutions, and maintaining long-term partnerships
Traveling up to 30% to meet with clients, attend conferences, and provide on-site support

Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the electric utility industry. Working for either engineering or construction firms, business consulting or an electric utility (IOU’s, Municipality or Cooperative)
Proven experience in strategic planning, goal setting, and collaboration with senior management.
Strong B2B sales background in telecom, utility, construction, or manufacturing; experience in complex sales environments required.
Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business Management preferred.
Extensive knowledge of construction markets, business sectors, and civil engineering projects (preferred).
Strong business development, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with a consultative selling approach.
Ability to analyze RFQs, specifications, and engineering drawings.
Excellent verbal/written communication, proposal development, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Salesforce or NetSuite preferred.
Willingness to travel up to 30% as needed.
