Your New Role

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates by reviewing plans, specifications, and bid documents in Louisville, KY

• Perform quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and value engineering

• Use estimating tools such as PlanSwift and Bluebeam to develop competitive bids

• Solicit and negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers

• Partner with project managers to establish and manage project budgets

• Review contracts, scopes of work, and change orders for cost accuracy

• Maintain organized bid documentation and estimating records

• Identify and pursue new commercial construction opportunities

• Build and maintain relationships within the local construction market

• Travel locally to job sites as needed

• 5 to 10 years of construction industry experience with estimating responsibilities

• Experience in commercial and or residential construction estimating

• Proficiency with PlanSwift estimating software

• Experience with Bluebeam is preferred

• Strong understanding of construction methods, cost estimating, and bidding processes

• Ability to perform accurate quantity takeoffs and cost analysis

• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills

• Familiarity with the Louisville, KY construction market is a plus

• Construction field experience is preferred

• Ability to manage multiple bids, deadlines, and priorities
