Responsibilities

  • Adhere to and support the organization’s safety, observing OSHA and all state-level agency regulations (MTA, SCA, etc.)
  • Enforce orientation of job-specific training (scaffolding, aerial lift training, etc.) on-site
  • Create and manage safety-related documents
  • Facilitate external/internal inspections
  • Host Toolbox talks and train new employees on safety standards
  • Identify potential safety risks and protect workers against possible hazards
  • Verify existing field conditions and report changes to affected parties
  • Establish and enforce acceptable levels of workmanship and good practices
  • Inspect materials for conformance against approved documents and specifications
  • Identify subcontractor's NCRs, communicate across project stakeholders, and ensure compliance
  • Identify and address punch-list items
  • Plan and direct construction activities of the subcontractors, laborers, and other staff as assigned
  • Monitor work progress to ensure adherence to the construction schedule and budget
  • Identify, order, and manage resources required to finish company self-performed activities
  • Assign daily tasks to field laborers
  • Maintain relationships with customers, architects, union representatives, subcontractors, superiors, and project team
  • Hire and layoff field labor
  • Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution
  • Initiate and communicate with project team RFIs, Submittals, and potential COs
  • Arrange on-site rigging, equipment, and material deliveries
  • Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in a critical path to ensure timely completion
  • Attend meetings with the Construction Manager/client
  • Prepare daily reports
  • Collect and submit payroll documentation

Job requirements

  • Valid driving license.
  • Possession of an SST 62 license
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in roles such as Superintendent or Foreman
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
