Responsibilities

Adhere to and support the organization’s safety, observing OSHA and all state-level agency regulations (MTA, SCA, etc.)
Enforce orientation of job-specific training (scaffolding, aerial lift training, etc.) on-site
Create and manage safety-related documents
Facilitate external/internal inspections
Host Toolbox talks and train new employees on safety standards
Identify potential safety risks and protect workers against possible hazards
Verify existing field conditions and report changes to affected parties
Establish and enforce acceptable levels of workmanship and good practices
Inspect materials for conformance against approved documents and specifications
Identify subcontractor's NCRs, communicate across project stakeholders, and ensure compliance
Identify and address punch-list items
Plan and direct construction activities of the subcontractors, laborers, and other staff as assigned
Monitor work progress to ensure adherence to the construction schedule and budget
Identify, order, and manage resources required to finish company self-performed activities
Assign daily tasks to field laborers
Maintain relationships with customers, architects, union representatives, subcontractors, superiors, and project team
Hire and layoff field labor
Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution
Initiate and communicate with project team RFIs, Submittals, and potential COs
Arrange on-site rigging, equipment, and material deliveries
Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in a critical path to ensure timely completion
Attend meetings with the Construction Manager/client
Prepare daily reports
Collect and submit payroll documentation

Job requirements

Valid driving license.
Possession of an SST 62 license
3-5 years of relevant experience in roles such as Superintendent or Foreman
Must be authorized to work in the US.
