Your New Role

• Fabricate, install, and repair sheet metal components, including ducts, fittings, flashing, housings, and custom parts in Bronx, NY, servicing projects across Manhattan

• Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using shears, brakes, rolls, and other fabrication equipment

• Install, maintain, and repair HVAC ductwork systems to ensure proper airflow, sealing, and code compliance

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders to plan fabrication and installation tasks

• Perform layout work and calculate material requirements for sheet metal projects

• Inspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with building codes and company standards

• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean, safe, and operational condition

• Transport tools, materials, and equipment to job sites as needed

• Coordinate with HVAC technicians and other trades on multi-trade projects

• Document completed work and materials used while maintaining accurate reports

• Completion of a recognized sheet metal apprenticeship program or equivalent journey level experience in sheet metal fabrication and HVAC ductwork

• Strong proficiency with sheet metal tools and equipment, including layout, cutting, forming, and joining techniques

• Working knowledge of HVAC ductwork systems, including installation, modification, and repair

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications

• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record

• Knowledge of applicable building codes, safety regulations, and OSHA standards

• Experience with fabrication using galvanized steel, aluminum, or stainless steel preferred

• Familiarity with SMACNA standards preferred

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred

• Experience working in municipal, government, or institutional facilities environments preferred
