This role is for a recruiter who can think, diagnose hiring problems, and run the recruiting engine for clients who depend on hiring to keep their businesses running. The companies we support are plumbers, HVAC companies, electricians, and construction businesses across the United States. When they cannot hire, revenue stops.
Our recruiters must be able to instill confidence with clients. Skilled trades owners are busy operators running real businesses. They do not need someone passively collecting resumes. They need a recruiter who understands their labor market, understands their business pressures, and can guide the hiring process with authority.
Authority is earned by proving you understand their needs, sometimes better than they do. The best recruiters here anticipate problems, recommend solutions, and move the hiring process forward without waiting to be told what to do.
If you are someone who simply posts jobs and waits for applications, this role will frustrate you. If you like solving hiring problems, screening for quality, earning trust with clients, and driving hiring outcomes in a competitive labor market, you will do well here.
We are not hiring job order takers. We are hiring recruiters who take responsibility for the hiring outcome.
Ownership and accountability
You take responsibility for results. When hiring slows down, you investigate the breakdown and adjust the approach. You do not wait to be told what to do.
Recruiting skill and craft mastery
We are hiring experienced recruiters who take pride in the craft of recruiting. You must be able to source effectively, screen candidates with precision, and identify real experience versus inflated resumes. Strong recruiters continuously improve how they evaluate talent and run hiring funnels.
Critical thinking
You understand recruiting as a funnel. If hiring stalls, you know where to look. Candidate volume, candidate quality, response time, interview speed, offer competitiveness, and follow up discipline all affect outcomes.
Relentless coachability
We are only interested in recruiters who are serious about getting better. You must be willing to take feedback, apply it quickly, and sharpen your skills continuously. This is not an environment for people who become defensive when coached.
Commitment to the client outcome
Our clients rely on us to help them hire people who keep their businesses running. That requires urgency, persistence, and a willingness to go all in on solving the hiring problem.
Technology competence
Our work runs through systems. Slack, HubSpot, Recruitee, Google Workspace, and AI tools are part of daily operations. You must be organized, responsive, and comfortable working inside modern software tools.
Communication quality
Your English must be strong. Most communication is written, and clarity matters. Candidates and internal teams rely on clean updates, clear notes, and professional communication.
Full-cycle recruiting
Manage the recruiting process from sourcing through candidate submission and interview coordination.
Candidate sourcing and pipeline building
Identify and engage skilled trades professionals across multiple sourcing channels.
Candidate screening and evaluation
Conduct structured phone and video interviews to assess candidate experience, reliability, and fit.
Client and team coordination
Work closely with internal team members to move candidates through interviews quickly and maintain strong pipeline visibility.
Candidate experience management
Keep candidates informed throughout the process and maintain professional communication from first contact through final hiring decision.
