Your New Role

• Perform residential HVAC service, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance throughout Austin, Texas

• Travel within the greater Austin area to residential and light commercial locations

• Conduct diagnostic testing and inspections to identify HVAC system issues

• Repair or replace faulty HVAC components including compressors, motors, thermostats, and fans

• Perform routine HVAC maintenance such as filter cleaning, lubrication of moving parts, and electrical inspections

• Calibrate and program HVAC systems to support optimal performance and energy efficiency

• Troubleshoot heating and cooling system malfunctions including airflow issues, refrigerant leaks, and temperature regulation concerns

• Assess the overall condition of the client HVAC system and develop a case for replacement when applicable

• Generate replacement leads and help facilitate turnover appointments for a sales specialist to present replacement options

• Accurately document diagnostic findings, repairs completed, parts used, and customer interactions

• Follow all HVAC safety standards and industry regulations while completing service work

• Maintain a professional and customer focused approach when communicating with clients

• Participate in ongoing HVAC training and professional development

• Valid driver license with no restrictions

• EPA Type 2 certification

• Ability to register as a technician with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation TDLR

• Advanced knowledge of electricity and refrigeration systems

• Minimum 2 years of full time HVAC service experience

• HVAC schooling preferred but not required

• Ability to pass a background check

• Authorization to work in the United States

Work Schedule:

• Normal schedule is 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday

• Candidates must be available to work weekends

• Weekend coverage is typically 1 weekend per month

On-Call Expectations:

• There is a rotating on-call schedule

• On-call service can run until 9:30 PM

• On-call coverage is typically split across the team rather than having one person cover a full week

• Weekend on-call days can run up to a 12-hour shift, depending on workload
