Responsibilities
Perform diagnostics and routine maintenance on Briggs & Stratton and Generac air-cooled generators
Conduct thorough inspections of residential generator systems to identify issues and areas for maintenance.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and diagnose generator problems accurately.
Repair or replace faulty components, including engines, alternators, voltage regulators, and controls.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and spark plug inspections.
Ensure generators are functioning optimally by adjusting settings, calibrating controls, and testing voltage outputs.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, documenting parts used and work performed.
Collaborate with customers to explain findings, recommend solutions, and provide information on proper generator operation.
Adhere to safety guidelines and industry standards while performing all tasks.
Stay updated on new generator technologies, manufacturer guidelines, and industry best practices.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment and manage inventory of necessary parts and supplies.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, scheduling maintenance appointments, and resolving concerns effectively.

Job requirements
1-2+ years working experience in both installing, diagnosing, and maintaining air cooled generators.
Briggs & Stratton and Generac generators certification is a plus
Must be mechanically inclined
Must have a good driving record with no history of DUIs or reckless driving incidents
Successfully pass a background check with no felony convictions
Must have reliable transportation to and from job sites
Proven track record of providing excellent customer service and satisfaction
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Familiarity with using various tools, equipment, and technology related to the role
Ability to work efficiently and effectively both independently and as part of a team
Adherence to safety protocols and regulations
Willingness to adapt to changing work environments and handle job responsibilities in different locations
Must be authorized to work in the US.
