Your New Role

This position is based in Sioux Falls, SD, and is office-based first, with remote flexibility available only after tenure and trust are established. You’ll:

• Review plans and specs to build precise, competitive estimates for site development, road construction, excavation, and utility projects

• Lead the entire bid process; coordinate pricing from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors

• Produce clear, accurate bids for both hard bid and negotiated projects

• Mentor junior estimators and guide team success

• Collaborate with project managers and field ops to align estimating with execution

• Conduct site visits and provide insight during planning and project delivery

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on estimating experience in civil construction

• Proven background in site development, utility work, road construction, or heavy civil projects

• Proficiency with estimating software such as HCSS Heavy Bid, Agtek, and Planswift

• Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams and drive results

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
