Prepare accurate estimates and support procurement planning for high-end residential landscape construction projects in Far Hills, NJ and surrounding areas
Manage a hybrid role focused approximately 60% on estimating and 40% on procurement coordination
Perform complete quantity takeoffs from landscape, civil, and architectural plans, specifications, details, and field verification
Build detailed pricing for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and logistics using established production rates and historical data
Utilize Sage Estimating and integrated digital takeoff platforms including On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar systems
Coordinate vendor pricing requests, subcontractor quotes, procurement planning, and buyout processes
Identify scope gaps, exclusions, project risks, and long-lead materials to support project success and schedule accuracy
Support bid preparation, value engineering options, scope clarifications, and professional proposal development
Collaborate closely with senior designers, sales teams, procurement support staff, and production leadership
Maintain organized estimating documentation, pricing libraries, templates, and vendor communications
Assist with change order estimating support and job costing workflows as needed
Help improve estimating databases, production rates, assemblies, and internal estimating standards

5 to 7+ years of estimating experience in landscape construction, sitework, or related construction trades
Strong understanding of high-end residential landscape construction preferred
Residential or commercial construction estimating backgrounds accepted
Proficiency with Sage Estimating software required
Experience with integrated digital takeoff systems and estimating workflows required
Experience with On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar takeoff platforms preferred
Familiarity with Sage 300 CRE is a plus
Strong ability to read and interpret landscape, civil, and architectural blueprints, project plans, specifications, and details
Experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs, project costing, and procurement coordination
Strong knowledge of landscape construction means, methods, sequencing, and procurement workflows
Understanding of hardscape, planting, grading, irrigation, drainage, lighting, trucking, and specialty subcontractor scopes
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple bids, deadlines, and procurement timelines simultaneously
Strong communication and collaboration skills across estimating, sales, procurement, and production teams
Must be detail-oriented with strong documentation and time management abilities
Ability to walk job sites and verify project conditions as needed
Must be able to reliably commute to the Far Hills, NJ office location within a reasonable daily commute distance
