Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic assessments and repairs on HVAC and oil heating systems.
  • Document all services performed and parts used during repairs.
  • Possess the necessary tools to effectively carry out the required services.
  • Handle the installation of heating and cooling equipment.

Job requirements

  • 3-5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior experience in servicing oil heating systems and air conditioning systems
  • Possess good customer skills
  • Must have a valid Oil Burner and/or Propane Technician Certificate
  • Installation experience a plus
  • Air conditioning certification a plus
  • Ability to drive a service van
  • A flexible work schedule is required - nights, weekends & holidays
  • Ability to digitally receive, update and complete service work
  • Personal cell phone
  • Ability to pass a certified test for substance abuse.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean record
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.


Technical Skill Requirements:

  • A valid occupational license (if required).
  • Adequate knowledge of electrical systems.
  • Adequate knowledge of potable water systems.
  • Adequate knowledge of hydronics and air distribution systems of heating systems.
  • Adequate knowledge of underground oil tanks and related oil distribution systems.
  • Knowledge of the functions of all job-related tools and devices, and the ability to skillfully use them.
  • Ability to read and decipher schematic drawings.
