Leadership that understands underground pipe work, production excavation, and efficient grading
A wide range of projects, including water main, sewer, storm pipe, mass excavation, grading, demolition, and site development
Strong emphasis on safety, quality workmanship, and doing underground utility work the right way
A team environment where experienced operators are trusted to make decisions and lead by example
Support and manage daily job site operations in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and surrounding areas
Perform underground utility and pipe installation, including water, sewer, and storm systems
Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, utility layouts, and grade stakes
Strip sites, excavate trenches, dig footings, backfill, grade, and place topsoil
Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, motor graders, wheel loaders, skid loaders, side dumps and/or dump trucks
Maintain production standards while protecting underground utilities and existing infrastructure
Focus on job site safety, trench safety, and quality underground utility installation
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, production, and workflow throughout the day

3 or more years of heavy equipment operator experience
Leadership experience and a Crew leader or foreman
Proven experience with underground utilities and pipe work, including water, sewer, and storm systems, is helpful
Hands-on experience operating excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, and skid steers
Ability to read and understand blueprints, utility plans, and grading plans
Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
Great communication skills
CDL is helpful but not required
Commitment to safety, production excavation, underground utility quality, and teamwork
