As a Fiber Technician based in Horn Lake, MS, and surrounding areas, you’ll handle critical fieldwork to install, splice, test, and maintain high-performance fiber optic networks. Your work keeps people connected—and it shows.
Perform fusion and mechanical splicing of fiber optic cables with high precision
Use OTDRs, power meters, and light meters to test and troubleshoot fiber performance
Identify and repair signal loss, breaks, and connection issues in fiber infrastructure
Route, secure, and protect fiber installations in new and existing systems
Maintain clean and accurate records of all splicing, testing, and fieldwork
Ensure all work complies with safety standards, codes, and customer expectations
Adapt to working outdoors, in confined spaces, and in elevated locations when needed

Strong working knowledge of fiber optic splicing methods and tools
Experience using fusion splicing equipment, cleavers, and OTDRs
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve fiber optic network issues independently
Physical stamina to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in various weather conditions
Sharp attention to detail and safety awareness in all tasks
