Your New Role

  • Perform routine inspections on machinery, production equipment, and facility systems in Salem, OR

  • Execute preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems and basic electrical components

  • Maintain motors, production machinery, and industrial equipment

  • Use hand tools, power tools, hoists, and diagnostic equipment

  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment components as needed

  • Maintain detailed service logs and repair documentation

  • Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs

  • Assist with equipment relocation and installation while following safety procedures

  • Support facility upkeep including seasonal grounds maintenance

  • Follow OSHA standards and internal safety protocols

Job requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

  • 1 to 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred

  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance practices

  • Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment and production machinery

  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, hoists, and measuring instruments

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and climbing

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment

  • Availability to work Friday through Sunday 12-hour shifts, with possible additional weekday hours
