Your New Role

As an Estimator based in Salem, OR, you’ll play a critical role in preparing detailed and competitive cost estimates for custom engineering and manufacturing projects. Your work will help determine feasibility, win contracts, and drive project success.

• Analyze Requests for Quotations (RFQs), drawings, and specifications

• Complete accurate material takeoffs for steel fabrication and utility structures

• Solicit and evaluate bids from vendors and subcontractors

• Prepare full-scope cost estimates, including labor, materials, and overhead

• Add strategic margins to maximize both competitiveness and profitability

• Partner with project managers and cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and client expectations

• Lead internal quote review meetings when needed

• Maintain cost databases and suggest process improvements for better efficiency

• Minimum of 3 years of cost estimating experience, ideally in the steel or utility sectors

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• Ability to analyze data, manage multiple bids, and produce client-ready cost reports

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred

• Positive, team-focused mindset with the ability to collaborate across departments and with vendors
