Responsibilities

  • Read and Understand Plans: The electrician is responsible for reviewing and comprehending electrical plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine the scope of work and requirements for each project.
  • Solve electrical problems: The electrician is expected to possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment effectively. They should be capable of diagnosing issues, identifying root causes, and implementing appropriate solutions in a timely manner.
  • Service Electrical: The electrician is responsible for providing electrical services, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to existing electrical systems. This involves conducting inspections, identifying faulty components, performing necessary repairs or replacements, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure.
  • Install New Electrical System: The electrician is responsible for installing new electrical systems and equipment according to established codes and regulations. This includes wiring, conduits, outlets, switches, and other electrical components. They should have a solid understanding of electrical wiring principles and be able to safely and accurately install electrical systems in new construction or during renovation projects.
  • Compliance with Safety Regulations: The electrician must adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times. They are responsible for identifying potential hazards, implementing safety measures, and maintaining a safe working environment. This includes following proper electrical procedures, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE), and adhering to industry-specific safety guidelines.
  • Documentation and Reporting: The electrician is responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of work performed, including service reports, inspection records, and any necessary permits. They should also effectively communicate and report any identified issues, recommended solutions, or potential project delays to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Collaboration and Communication: The electrician is expected to collaborate effectively with other team members, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met. They should possess good communication skills to effectively convey technical information and updates to individuals with varying levels of electrical knowledge.
  • Adherence to Codes and Regulations: The electrician is responsible for staying up-to-date with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations. They should ensure that all electrical work performed is in compliance with these standards to maintain safety and legal compliance.

Job requirements

  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Maintain a drug-free status and comply with the company's substance abuse policy
  • Successfully pass a background check
  • Have experience in servicing electrical systems, including conducting maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting
  • Have experience in installing new electrical systems and equipment
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of safety procedures and practices related to electrical work
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed
  • Have effective communication skills to interact with team members, clients, and contractors
  • Show the ability to work independently and as part of a team, depending on the project requirements
  • Display a strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to meeting project deadlines and delivering high-quality work
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
