Responsibilities

  • Perform residential electrical service work and repairs, addressing electrical issues and fulfilling service requests in residential settings
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems accurately, using appropriate tools and equipment
  • Repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures
  • Install new electrical systems and wiring in residential properties, adhering to electrical codes and safety regulations
  • Conduct electrical inspections and assessments to identify potential hazards or areas for improvement
  • Maintain inventory control on the assigned van, ensuring that necessary electrical supplies, tools, and equipment are stocked and organized
  • Provide excellent customer service, communicating effectively with clients and addressing their electrical concerns or questions
  • Respond to customer inquiries and requests in a professional and timely manner
  • Ensure the work area is clean and organized, and leave the customer's premises in a satisfactory condition after completing repairs or service

Job requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as an electrical service tech in a residential setting 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve electrical issues in homes
  • Experience in ceiling fan installations, running new circuits, replacing panels and disconnects, lighting installations, and EV charging stations 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local electrical codes and regulations
  • Proven track record of successful projects and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety and quality
  • Familiarity with electrical tools, equipment, and technology used in residential settings
  • Willingness to stay updated on industry advancements and best practices
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
  • Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record 
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
