Pay

  • $75,000.00-$120,000.00 yearly depending on experience

Responsibilities

The position of the Electrical Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple projects at various stages, overseeing projects from pre-construction to closeouts. The seasoned Project Manager will provide status updates and maintain documentation records. Responsibilities include material requisition, submittal compilation, purchase orders, on-site job walk-throughs, change orders, requests for information, and close-out documents. Below are the essential job duties of this position:

  • Manage multiple public and private electrical construction projects from $1,000,000 to $10,000,000 at one time.
  • Make decisions in such a way that risk is minimized and controlled for the company’s best interest.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies.
  • Communicate and work closely with field supervision to manage manpower, material deliveries, and safety.
  • Write subcontracts, change orders, and estimate purchase orders that delineate the scope of work and bills of material.
  • Manage safety in unison with the field superintendent and company safety director on all projects.
  • Manage project coordinators and project engineers who may be assigned to work on the projects.
  • Monitor the overall quality and quantity of work performed on assigned projects.
  • Manage all assigned projects to ensure budget, schedules, materials, subcontractors, and crews are on target and profitable.
  • Serve as the MPC – Main Point of Contact between the Client and Management.

Job requirements

  • Experience in one or more of the following k-12, higher education, or Commercial.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong understanding of the electrical construction trade and codes
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and vendors at one time.
  • Experience with permitting and license requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Deep knowledge of local and national technical and safety standards and codes (NEC, NETA, IEEE, NFPA, OSHA).
  • Resourceful self-starter with good organizational skills
  • Minimum 3+ years working experience in the public and private electrical construction industry as a Project Manager
  • Strong computer skills in all basic construction programs: Procore, Bluebeam, Sage. Accubid, Accubid Change Order, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project,
  • Degree, Electrical Certification, or safety certifications are a plus but not required
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
