Pay

  • $30.00-$40.00 hourly - depending on experience
  • $1,500 Signing Bonus after 3 months of employment
  • Travel Pay 
  • Labor Savings Bonuses

Responsibilities

As an Electrical Foreman in the "Working Foreman" position at Thomas Electrical, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing various aspects of electrical projects from initiation to completion. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Project Management: Take charge of the entire project life cycle, ensuring efficient planning, execution, and completion. Coordinate with project managers to understand project requirements, timelines, and goals, and then translate them into actionable plans for your team.
  • Resource Allocation: Effectively manage and allocate resources, including materials, manpower, and equipment, to ensure optimal productivity. Monitor inventory levels, schedule deliveries, and make strategic decisions to maintain an uninterrupted workflow throughout the project.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of electrical workers, providing clear guidance, support, and direction. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and accountability among crew members. Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce adherence to safety protocols.
  • Quality Control: Uphold high standards of workmanship and quality. Conduct regular inspections to ensure that work is completed according to specifications, industry standards, and project requirements. Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and open communication channels with project managers, clients, and team members. Provide regular updates on project progress, challenges, and successes. Act as a liaison between different stakeholders to facilitate smooth project operations.
  • Problem Solving: Anticipate and address challenges that may arise during the project. Implement effective problem-solving strategies to overcome obstacles and keep the project on track. Collaborate with team members to find innovative solutions to complex issues.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate and detailed records of project activities, including daily reports, material usage, and manpower hours. Ensure that all documentation is organized and accessible for future reference or audits.
  • Training and Development: Identify opportunities for skill development within the team. Provide on-the-job training to enhance the capabilities of team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Budget Management: Assist in monitoring project budgets and control costs. Work closely with the project management team to identify potential cost savings and efficiencies without compromising on quality or safety.
  • Adherence to Regulations: Stay informed about relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices. Ensure that all work is compliant with applicable codes and standards, and take corrective action if necessary.

Job requirements

  • 10 years in the commercial electrical field with at least 2 years of foreman experience (Prior work history on schools, medical, and various government projects)
  • A strong knowledge of the NEC and its recent changes
  • Be able to work anywhere in the State of Arizona - Travel is required 
  • Can provide an MVR report, and supply references that can verify experience and performance
  • High level of organizational and leadership skills, coupled with a strong working knowledge of our trade
  • Must have your basic tools of the trade
  • Capable of managing project personnel and material
  • Pass a background check and random drug screening
  • Valid Drivers License and clean driving record 
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
