Your New Role

  • Oversee all financial operations for a $30 million electrical contracting company in Tulsa, Oklahoma

  • Manage core accounting functions including general ledger, payroll, and job cost accounting

  • Prepare accurate financial reports including work in progress and percentage of completion reporting

  • Develop and track budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and construction accounting standards

  • Act as the primary contact for external CPAs, banks, and bonding agents

  • Deliver financial insights to leadership and project managers to support strategic decisions

  • Identify and implement improvements to reporting systems and profitability tracking

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the internal accounting team

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • CPA license preferred

  • 6 to 10 years of experience in accounting or financial management

  • Previous experience in a controller or supervisory accounting position

  • Strong background in construction accounting, including job costing and work in progress reporting

  • Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial compliance standards

  • Experience working with executive leadership and external financial partners

  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills

  • Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop accounting team members
