Your New Role

  • Oversee all financial operations for a $30 million electrical contracting company in Tulsa, Oklahoma

  • Manage accounting functions including general ledger, job cost accounting, and payroll

  • Prepare detailed financial reports, including work in progress and percentage of completion reporting

  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and construction industry financial standards

  • Serve as the main point of contact for external CPAs, banks, and bonding agents

  • Provide financial insights to project managers and leadership to support informed decisions

  • Identify opportunities to strengthen reporting processes and improve profitability

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the internal accounting team

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • Active CPA license preferred

  • 6 to 10 years of professional experience in accounting or financial management

  • Prior experience in a controller or supervisory accounting role

  • Knowledge of construction accounting, including job costing and work in progress reporting

  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial compliance standards

  • Experience collaborating with executive leadership and external financial partners

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop accounting staff
