Responsibilities

  • Metal Stud Framing:
    • Accurately measure and cut metal studs according to blueprints and specifications.
    • Install metal studs securely and precisely, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
    • Utilize appropriate tools and equipment for cutting, fastening, and assembling metal studs.
  • Sheetrock Hanging:
    • Hang drywall panels efficiently and accurately, following established procedures.
    • Secure drywall panels to metal stud framing using appropriate fasteners.
    • Cut drywall panels to fit around obstacles such as doors, windows, and electrical outlets.
  • Acoustical Ceilings:
    • Install acoustical ceiling systems, including grid layout and suspension, as per project requirements.
    • Apply knowledge of acoustical materials and techniques for sound absorption and insulation.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to acoustical ceiling installation as they arise.
  • Team Player:
    • Collaborate effectively with other team members, including contractors, supervisors, and other tradespeople.
    • Assist colleagues as needed to ensure timely completion of projects and quality workmanship.
    • Communicate openly and professionally to maintain a positive working environment.
  • Problem-Solving Skills:
    • Identify challenges and obstacles during construction projects and propose effective solutions.
    • Adapt to changing circumstances and adjust work methods as necessary to overcome obstacles.
    • Use critical thinking and practical knowledge to troubleshoot issues related to metal stud framing, sheetrock hanging, and acoustical ceiling installation.

Job requirements

  • Must have a basic comprehension of construction blueprints to interpret project specifications effectively
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential for commuting to various job sites as necessary
  • Completion of the OSHA 10-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training Program is required to ensure compliance with safety regulations (Successful candidates must be prepared to undergo OSHA 10-hour training immediately upon hiring if not already certified)
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
