Your New Role: 

As a Commercial Roofing Estimator at Tarrant Roofing, you will be the backbone of our commercial construction operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing detailed cost estimates for commercial roofing projects by analyzing plans, specifications, proposals, and other documentation.
• Using EDGE software or similar takeoff software efficiently to analyze blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Computing cost factors and preparing estimates used for planning, organizing, scheduling work, preparing bids, and selecting vendors or subcontractors.
• Conducting special studies to develop standard hour and cost data or to effect cost reduction.
• Consulting with clients, vendors, and personnel to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Maintaining a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors, and establishing tendering processes, and conducting negotiations.

This Job Is for You If:

• You have at least 5 years of experience in commercial roofing estimation.
• You’re skilled in analyzing construction plans and specifications.
• You excel in communication, negotiation, and problem-solving.
• You’re proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have a clean driving record.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial roofing estimation with extensive knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and construction processes.
• Exceptional analytical, mathematical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, handle multiple projects, and make accurate judgments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to use EDGE software or similar takeoff software efficiently.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, analyze construction documents, and review data for material and labor requirements.
• Compute cost factors for planning, organizing, scheduling, preparing bids, and selecting vendors or subcontractors.
• Conduct special studies for cost data, consult with clients and other departments, and formulate estimates.
• Experience with multifamily shingles, single-ply, sheet metal, torch down, and hot asphalt applied.
• Maintain a directory of suppliers, establish tendering processes, and conduct negotiations.
• Fluent in English with a clean driving record and a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
