Your New Role

• Work as a Commercial HVAC/R Technician serving customers in the Indianapolis, Indiana area

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment

• Perform preventive maintenance on heating, air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration, and energy management systems

• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and controls-related problems

• Perform equipment startups, diagnostics, repairs, adjustments, and system testing

• Service rooftop units (RTUs), air handlers, furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, exhaust fans, and related commercial HVAC equipment

• Service walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-in equipment, ice machines, commercial food service equipment, and medical or laboratory refrigeration systems

• Troubleshoot supermarket refrigeration equipment, including low-temperature and medium-temperature cases and parallel rack systems

• Repair and replace defective components and adjust controls as needed for proper system operation

• Work with Direct Digital Controls (DDC), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and Building Automation Systems (BAS), depending on the service call

• Read wiring diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, and equipment documentation

• Explain diagnostic findings and recommended repairs clearly to customers

• Complete service reports and required documentation accurately

• Maintain your company vehicle, tools, equipment, and service inventory

• Participate in the scheduled on-call rotation

• Provide professional, dependable service while representing Samsun Mechanical at customer locations

• High school diploma or GED

• EPA Universal Certification

• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements

• Five or more years of commercial HVAC/R service experience preferred

• Strong commercial HVAC and refrigeration troubleshooting, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair skills

• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, and service documentation

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and effectively manage daily service calls

• Commercial refrigeration experience preferred

• Grocery store or supermarket refrigeration experience preferred

• Experience with HVAC/R controls such as Novar, Emerson/CPC, and Danfoss preferred

• Parallel rack refrigeration system experience preferred

• Trade school or vocational HVAC/R training preferred

• Experience with Direct Digital Controls (DDC), Energy Management Systems (EMS), or Building Automation Systems (BAS) preferred

• Experience servicing commercial equipment such as walk-in and reach-in coolers and freezers, supermarket cases, rack systems, ice machines, commercial food service equipment, furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, packaged rooftop units, air handlers, exhaust fans, and air curtains preferred

• Experience servicing medical or laboratory refrigeration equipment preferred

• Experience working in supermarket, grocery, retail, warehouse, storage, or other commercial refrigeration environments is a plus
