Florida Mechanical LLC is licensed as a state-certified Mechanical and Plumbing Contractor. We focus on the project management, fabrication, installation, and service of both negotiated and competitive-bid projects. We specialize in process piping and fabrication, and our unique ability to prefabricate our field installations in our custom fab shop helps us excel with time-sensitive projects.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors.
• Become proficient with all product offerings, estimating, and e-commerce software tools.
• Create proposals and manage subcontractors’ questions and RFIs.
• Prepare estimates with detailed scope descriptions.
• Review mechanical specifications and drawings to ensure alignment between the two documents.
• Understand scope of HVAC work to bid.
• Prepare any RFI’s that are required.
• Communicate with the Construction department on new and current projects.
• Prepare detailed job take-offs.

• Minimum of 8 years as a tradesperson in Commercial HVAC installation
• Minimum of 5 years experience in HVAC estimating
• Knowledge of commercial HVAC / Mechanical Contracting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to negotiate effectively
• Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to prioritize work assignments
• Ability to develop budgets and timelines
• Multitasker with strong organizational skills
• Attention to detail is a must
• Knowledge of bidding software
• Works well on their own or in a team environment
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic
• Required background check and drug screening
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
