• $24.00 - $32.00 hourly - depending on experience

Responsibilities

As a Commercial Electrician, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, responsible for various aspects of commercial electrical work. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Pathway and Cable Installation: Proficiently install pathways and cables for electrical systems, ensuring the safe and efficient routing of wiring within commercial structures. Employ best practices for cable management to maintain a clean and organized installation.
• Underground Electrical Work: Demonstrate expertise in underground electrical installations, including trenching, conduit placement, and cable laying. Adhere to safety standards and local regulations while executing underground projects.
• Lighting Installation: Install, troubleshoot, and maintain lighting systems in commercial spaces. Ensure proper placement, wiring, and functionality of various lighting fixtures, including both interior and exterior lighting.
• Distribution Systems: Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical distribution systems in commercial settings. This includes panel installations, breaker configurations, and ensuring proper load balancing for optimal electrical performance.
• Blueprint Reading: Possess the ability to read and interpret electrical plans, blueprints, and specifications. Translate design drawings into practical installations, ensuring alignment with project requirements and specifications.
• Code Compliance: Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes. Stay informed about code updates and industry standards to guarantee that installations meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose electrical issues, perform repairs, and troubleshoot problems in commercial electrical systems. Exhibit problem-solving skills to identify and rectify issues efficiently, minimizing downtime.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members, contractors, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into overall commercial construction projects. Maintain open communication to address project requirements and timelines.
• Safety Adherence: Prioritize safety at all times, following established safety protocols and guidelines. Identify potential safety hazards and take corrective action to mitigate risks. Promote a culture of safety within the team.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of work performed, including as-built drawings, material usage, and any modifications made during the installation process. Ensure that documentation is organized and accessible for future reference.
• Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with clients and project stakeholders. Communicate effectively to understand client expectations and provide updates on project progress. Address client concerns promptly and courteously.

• Minimum of 3 years in the commercial electrical construction industry
• Ability to follow directions and work independently
• Strong knowledge of NEC and recent changes
• Ability to read plans
• Reliable transportation
• Must have own hand tools
• Lift training, CPR/1st aid, OSHA 10 - Preferred but not required 
• Valid drivers license and clean driving record 
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S
