Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) – Dimensional

We are hiring an experienced AWS Certified Welding Inspector CWI - Dimensional for a full time swing shift onsite role in Tigard Oregon.

This is a great opportunity for inspectors with strong structural steel experience looking for steady work consistent overtime and long term stability.

Compensation

• 70,000 to 90,000 per year based on experience with flexibility for higher pay for the right candidate

• Consistent overtime available paid at time and a half

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual nondestructive and dimensional inspections of welds and fabricated components in a structural steel environment

• Verify dimensions tolerances and fit up of assemblies using appropriate measuring tools

• Ensure compliance with AWS codes including D1.1 D1.5 and D1.8

• Interpret blueprints welding symbols WPS documents and fabrication drawings

• Document inspection results and support QA QC processes

• Collaborate with production teams to resolve weld quality and dimensional issues

Requirements

• Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector CWI certification required

• NDT Level II certification in MT and UT required

• Minimum 3 years of welding inspection or QA QC experience in structural steel

• Experience performing dimensional inspections and using precision measuring tools

• Strong knowledge of AWS codes and fabrication standards

• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings weld procedures and tolerances

Work Environment

• Full time onsite in a fabrication shop

• Swing shift schedule afternoon evening hours

• Minimal travel stable long term position
