Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a strategic sales plan in alignment with the company's goals and objectives. Continuously assess market trends, customer needs, and competition to refine and adapt the strategy.
  • Service Contract Upgrade: Sell service contracts and upgrades to new/existing clients and maintain current accounts.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, motivate, and manage a high-performing sales team. Set clear goals and performance expectations, provide coaching and mentoring, and ensure the team is equipped to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Analyze sales data, track performance metrics, and prepare regular reports for senior management. Use these insights to make informed decisions and adjustments to the sales strategy.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic partners. Understand their needs, address concerns, and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Sales Process Optimization: Streamline and enhance the sales process to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices, sales methodologies, and tools to ensure consistent and scalable processes.
  • Sales Target Achievement: Set individual and team sales targets, monitor progress, and take corrective actions as needed to ensure goals are met or exceeded.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities. Use this information to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to stay ahead in the market.
  • Budget Management: Manage the sales budget effectively, allocating resources where they will have the most impact and ensuring cost control measures are in place.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of the company's products or services, staying informed about updates and improvements. Be able to effectively communicate the value proposition to customers.
  • Customer Feedback and Improvement: Gather and analyze customer feedback and market insights. Work closely with product development and marketing teams to improve offerings based on customer input.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations of major contracts and agreements. Ensure that contracts align with company policies, profitability targets, and legal requirements.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure that the sales team operates within legal and ethical guidelines. Promote a culture of integrity and adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
  • Sales Technology Utilization: Leverage sales and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools to manage leads, track progress, and measure performance. Implement technology solutions to enhance sales efficiency.
  • Sales Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills, product knowledge, and sales techniques.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Monitor and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer concerns and facilitating resolutions promptly.
  • Sales Events and Promotions: Plan and execute sales events, promotions, and campaigns to drive revenue growth.

Job requirements

  • 6+ years of demonstrated experience working with building automation control systems
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in various building control technologies, including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), lighting, access control, and energy management systems
  • Proficiency in relevant software, hardware, and programming related to building automation control systems
  • Familiarity with industry-standard protocols and communication interfaces is a plus
  • Ability to effectively manage and oversee building automation projects, from conception to completion, ensuring they meet quality standards and client requirements
  • Familiarity with local, state, and national regulations and codes related to building automation control systems, ensuring compliance in all projects
  • The ability to provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members is advantageous
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
