Your New Role

  • Support the Project Superintendent and Project Manager on active commercial construction sites in Mechanicsville, VA, and the surrounding Central Virginia areas

  • Assist with daily job site operations, including opening and closing procedures

  • Enforce OSHA safety standards and job site safety protocols

  • Help supervise subcontractors and coordinate field crews

  • Track and document construction progress, daily logs, and site activity

  • Coordinate material deliveries and ensure proper handling and staging

  • Maintain quality control to ensure all work meets plans, specifications, and commercial building standards

  • Identify job site challenges early and contribute to effective solutions

  • Utilize Procore and other construction management software to support project execution

Job requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction or a related field

  • Construction background required

  • Ability to travel to job sites within a 60-mile radius of Richmond, VA

  • Reliable transportation preferred

  • Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities

  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt in fast-paced construction environments

  • Proficiency or willingness to learn construction management software such as Procore

  • Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow in the field
