Work as an Ammonia Refrigeration Technician supporting customer operations in Phoenix, Arizona.
Service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair ammonia refrigeration, industrial refrigeration, and commercial refrigeration systems.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues with specialized testing and diagnostic equipment.
Service reciprocating, scroll, rotary, and screw compressors.
Complete compressor rebuilds, motor alignments, shaft seal replacements, and preventative maintenance.
Install and service expansion valves, control valves, and other refrigeration system components.
Install wiring and connect refrigeration equipment to electrical power sources.
Inspect and test refrigeration piping, systems, and components for leaks.
Perform startup, commissioning, and system optimization for ammonia and synthetic refrigeration systems.
Diagnose issues involving refrigeration control panels, PLCs, microprocessors, and automated control systems.
Travel to customer locations and respond to service calls as needed.
Complete work orders, timecards, service documentation, and customer records accurately using SimPRO.
Generate purchase orders and maintain truck stock inventory.
Keep your assigned service vehicle clean, organized, and properly stocked.
Provide professional customer service while protecting customer confidentiality.
Handle assignments independently while collaborating with the team to complete projects safely and efficiently.

Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in HVACR, commercial refrigeration, industrial refrigeration, or a related field.
EPA 608 Certification required.
Universal EPA Certification preferred, or the ability to obtain it within the first three months of employment.
Trade school education or equivalent hands on experience preferred.
Previous ammonia refrigeration experience preferred but not required.
CARO or CIRO RITA Certification preferred.
Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting refrigeration systems, compressors, motors, electrical components, and controls.
Ability to complete compressor repairs, rebuilds, alignments, and preventative maintenance.
Experience working with electrical and mechanical diagnostic equipment.
Valid driver's license.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
Willingness to work overtime and participate in on call schedules as needed.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform work in industrial environments involving refrigeration systems, machinery, varying weather conditions, and related equipment.
Strong organizational, problem solving, and time management skills.
