Your New Role

  • Perform service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial refrigeration, industrial refrigeration, and ammonia refrigeration systems

  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration system issues using specialized testing and diagnostic equipment

  • Repair and maintain reciprocating, scroll, rotary, and screw compressors

  • Perform compressor rebuilds, shaft seal replacements, and motor alignments

  • Install and service expansion valves, control valves, and other refrigeration components

  • Install wiring and connect refrigeration equipment to electrical power sources

  • Test refrigeration systems, piping, and components for leaks

  • Perform startup, commissioning, and optimization of ammonia and synthetic refrigeration systems

  • Troubleshoot refrigeration control panels, PLCs, microprocessors, and automated control systems

  • Travel to customer sites and respond to service calls as needed

  • Maintain accurate work orders, service documentation, timecards, and customer records using SimPRO

  • Generate purchase orders and manage truck stock inventory

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked service vehicle

  • Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality

  • Work independently and collaboratively to complete projects safely and efficiently

Job requirements

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of HVACR, commercial refrigeration, industrial refrigeration, or related experience

  • Trade school education or equivalent hands-on experience preferred

  • EPA 608 Certification required

  • Universal EPA Certification preferred or ability to obtain within the first three months of employment

  • Ammonia refrigeration experience preferred but not required

  • CERO certification preferred but not required

  • Experience troubleshooting refrigeration systems, compressors, motors, controls, and electrical components

  • Ability to perform compressor repairs, alignments, rebuilds, and preventative maintenance

  • Experience using electrical and mechanical diagnostic equipment

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Willingness to work overtime and participate in on-call schedules as needed

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to work in industrial environments with exposure to refrigeration systems, machinery, and varying weather conditions

  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills
